Reservations Manager - Honua Kai, HI | Intrawest Hospitality Management | Lahaina, HI

The Reservations Manager at Honua Kai Resort is responsible for the
overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of reservations staff.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must be able to
hear harassment complaints and follow proper reporting procedures.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of Reservations Department.
- Receive direction from Director of Reservations and implements
procedures.
- Ensure all staff are completely trained in phone etiquette,
reservation accuracy, and department, resort procedures and policies.
- Review supervisor/lead roles and ensure staff performance standards
are met.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Three years resort lodging experience, preferably in reservations
- Previous supervisory experience is required
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability
to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak
effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Experience with SMS Property Management software a definite asset
- Excellent typing skills and computer knowledge is required
