Network Engineer Lead | BAE Systems Information Technology | Fort Shafter, HI
Oversees telecommunications systems including voice, data, TSCACS, VPN
and video communication. Manages the planning, design, installation, and
maintenance of networks. Works with Information Systems staff to assess
telecommunications systems capabilities and determine long-range needs.
Requires bachelor's degree and 6 years relevant experience, or
equivalent. Manages other staff network engineers.
Assesses network performance. Sets up and observes network systems.
recommends upgrades or improvements, models and maintains the Spectrum
systems. Supports development of technical standards and application
uses. Resolves network problems and offers technical assistance to
users.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required
3-5 years TSCACS, VPN and video communication experience.Experience with
Routers/Switches (CISCO, NORTEL, FORESYSTEM). 3-5 years expereince in a
DOD network environment.
3-5 years experience in any of the following:
- Windows Workstation Operating Systems (2K, and above),
- Windows Server Operating Systems (2K3 and above),
- Windows Active Directory,
- Unix (Solaris, HPUX, BSD, Linux (Red Hat),
- Storage Area Network (SAN),
- Active Directory services.
- 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD
- CCNE, CCNA, MCSE, Altiris, SCSA, SCNA or ArcSight certification.
Desired
- 5 years experience on Army LandWarNet.Experience with Routers/Switches
(CISCO, NORTEL, FORESYSTEM), CISCO PIX Firewalls, Cisco Content
- Engines, Bluecoat.Expereince with VPN devices.
- 5 years experience on the Army's LandWarNet in any of the following:
- Windows Workstation Operating Systems (2K, and above),
- Windows Server Operating Systems (2K3 and above),
- Windows Active Directory,
- Unix (Solaris, HPUX, BSD, Linux (Red Hat),
- Storage Area Network (SAN),
- Active Directory services.
User Services:
Knowledge of:
- LandWarNet (NIPR/SIPR)
- Email (Exchange 2003 and Blackberry)
- File Services
- Voice services (DSN & DSRN)
- DMS/AMHS (SIPR/NIPR)
- Desktop and Application Service
Management Services:
- Network Management; Active Directory;COOP (Back-up
and Disaster Recovery Services);
- SAN/NAS storage and cross-site replication;NETOPS Support System;DNS
(NIPR/SIPR)
Network Access Services:
TACACS; Radius; VPN
